Benzonidazole is a medication known commercially as Rochagan.
This medication is an antiparasitic administered in oral form, used specifically against Trypanosoma cruzi, the protozoan that causes Chagas disease.

How to use Benzonidazole
Oral use
Adults and Children over 12 years
- Administer 5 to 7 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses, one after breakfast and the other after dinner (12-hour interval between doses).
Children under 12
- They may receive doses up to a maximum of 10 mg per kg of body weight per day, during the first 10 to 20 days of treatment, then decrease the dose to 5 to 7 mg per kg of weight per day.
Bezonidazole treatment should be continued for 30 to 60 consecutive days.
