Homemade foot scrubs can be made at home, with simple ingredients such as sugar, salt, almonds, honey and ginger, for example. The sugar or salt particles are large enough that, when pressed against the skin, they remove the rough skin layer and dead cells. In addition, honey and oils contribute to the hydration of the skin, giving a soft touch to the feet.
Exfoliation can be done up to twice a week, during the bath, or when the person is a pedicure, for example.

Exfoliation removes dead cells from the region, leaving the skin thinner due to the removal of the outer layer of the skin, rich in keratin. Moisturizing after this process, it is very important for a protective barrier to be formed and for the skin protection barrier not to be damaged. A good tip is to do this exfoliation at night and wear socks to sleep.
