Selegiline is an oral medicine, known commercially as Jumexil.
This drug is used to treat Parkinson's disease, having great effects on the central nervous system and reducing the "tremors" characteristic of the disease.

Headache; fainting; hallucination; dizziness; falling sensation; difficulty making voluntary movements; dry mouth; bellyache.
Contraindications for Selegiline
Pregnancy risk C; lactating women; profound dementia; individuals over 60; patients with abnormal involuntary movements; severe psychosis; peptic ulcer.
How to use Selegiline
Oral use
Adults
- Initial dose: Start treatment with the administration of 2.5 mg of Selegiline for breakfast, for 2 days. Thereafter, the dose should be increased by also taking 2.5 mg at dinner for another 2 days.
- Maintenance (Individuals with movement difficulties): Administer 5 mg of Selegiline every 12 hours.
