How to use Melatonin
Take 1 capsule of melatonin 30 minutes before bedtime. Melatonin does not induce sleep, but improves its quality.
The dose varies from 1 to 5 mg depending on the individual's needs. Treatment is usually started at lower doses and increased as needed. Elderly people may need higher doses and melatonin can also be found in 20 mg capsules. However, this supplement should only be used under medical advice.
Side effects
Headache, nausea and malaise can occur when used in excessive doses.
Contraindications
Children under 12 years of age, in case of pregnancy and during lactation, due to the lack of scientific proof of the safety of this supplement in these phases.
