Trimedal is a remedy indicated for the relief of flu and cold symptoms such as fever, body pain, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion and runny nose. This remedy has the following components:
- Paracetamol, which is an analgesic and antipyretic, indicated for the relief of pain and fever;
- Dimethindene maleate, which is an antihistamine, indicated to relieve allergic symptoms that are usually present in viral infections of the upper respiratory tract, such as nasal discharge and tearing;
- Phenylephrine hydrochloride, which causes local vasoconstriction and the consequent decongestion of nasal and conjunctival mucous membranes.

How to use
The recommended dose of this medicine is 1 tablet every 8 hours. The tablets should be swallowed with water and should not be chewed, broken or opened.
Who should not use
Trimedal is contraindicated for people with severe arterial hypertension or severe coronary artery disease and complex cardiac arrhythmias.
In addition, this remedy is also contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formula, in pregnancy, lactation and for children under 18 years of age.
Possible side effects
Generally, Trimedal is well tolerated, but in some cases, side effects may occur, such as pallor, palpitations, increased heart rate, pain or discomfort in the left side of the chest, anxiety, restlessness, weakness, tremors, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness and headache.
