Ketonax is a medication that has Ketoconazole as its active ingredient.
This medication is an anti-fungal for oral and topical use, used to treat infections caused by fungi such as mycoses, chilblains and white cloth.
Symptoms such as itchiness and irritation decrease during treatment with Cetonax, which acts by preventing the mechanism of action of fungi and eliminating them from the body.
Indications for Ketonax
Mycoses of the skin; chilblains; White cloth; cutaneous candidiasis; dandruff; seborrheic dermatitis (seborrhea, oiliness).
Side Effects of Ketonax
Headache; abdominal pain; nausea; seasickness; diarrhea; redness and itching (in case of hypersensitivity).
Contraindications for Ketonax
Pregnant or lactating women; individuals with liver disease; hypersensitivity to the product.
How to Use Cetonax
Adults
Oral use
- Vaginal candidiasis: Administer 2 tablets (400 mg) in a single daily dose, for 5 days.
- All other indications: Administer 1 tablet (200 mg) daily, for at least a week after the symptoms disappear.
Topical Use
- Skin infections: Apply a light layer of Cetonax cream over the affected area. Treatment should be continued for a few days after the symptoms disappear.
- Infections on the scalp: Apply the ketonex shampoo on the scalp, and let the medicine act for 3 to 5 minutes. After the determined time rinse the scalp well.
