Lemongrass tea with chamomile also helps to lower blood pressure and fight anxiety, and may have been taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, to promote calmness and tranquility, helping to fall asleep faster and preventing awakenings nocturnal.
The teas that should not be consumed at the end of the day, by people who usually have insomnia, are stimulants, with caffeine, such as black tea, green tea and hibiscus tea. These should be consumed in the morning and early afternoon to avoid disturbing sleep.
The causes of insomnia are usually related to pregnancy, hormonal changes due to thyroid, excessive worry, and use of certain medications, including prolonged use of sleeping pills, which 'addict' the body. When insomnia becomes very frequent, disrupting daily tasks, a medical consultation is recommended, as it may be necessary to investigate whether there is any disease that needs to be treated, such as sleep apnea, for example.
