The Moroccan brush is a definitive way to straighten hair that contains keratin, collagen and formaldehyde. It is sold as a kit consisting of shampoo, smoothing, neutralizing cream and argan oil.
When using the Moroccan brush, the individual must read the label and confirm that it does not contain more than 0.2% formaldehyde in its composition. Because, according to Anvisa, formaldehyde comes into contact with the heat of the hair dryer and turns into steam, which can be absorbed by the skin or inspired, causing health problems.
The duration of the straightening of the Moroccan brush depends on the type of hair and its growth time, and must be touched up at the root when the hair grows, generally, every 3 months.
Moroccan brush price
The price of the Moroccan brush is around 60 reais, being marketed by Inoar, Exxa, Alisa, Salon line or Bioderm. The price of the Moroccan brush made at the hairdresser can vary between 100 to 300 reais.
Moroccan brush step by step
The Moroccan brush step by step is:
- Wash your hair with the kit shampoo and rinse;
- Do the knot test, which consists of applying the straightening product to a lock of hair and waiting 7 minutes. Then tie your hair in a knot and wait another 3 minutes. If the knot opens, choose a new lock and repeat the process, but wait longer, up to a maximum of 45 minutes;
- Divide the hair into at least 4 parts;
- Apply the product on each part up to 1 cm from the root;
- Leave the product to act for the time it took to prevent the knot from opening;
- Rinse the hair well and apply the neutralizing product, leaving it to act for 10 minutes;
- Wash well, apply argan oil;
- Make a brush on the hair and run the board through the hair strands.
The Moroccan brush can be made at home, but it shows better results when performed by professionals in hairdressing salons.
