Skincare is an English term that means skin care and refers to the daily routine that one must have to maintain a healthy, hydrated, smooth, luminous and youthful skin for longer.
To be able to have all the benefits of skincare, it is important that in the care routine products are used according to the person's skin type, that is, whether it is dry, normal, mixed or oily, whether or not there is sensitivity and if it is easier for acne to appear. Here's how to know your skin type.
Thus, taking into account the skin type, the daily care routine and the most suitable products can be indicated by the dermatologist in order to have better results. Thus, the routine of skincare can be done as follows:
1. Cleaning
Cleansing the face is essential to maintain healthy skin, allow cell regeneration and enhance the action of products that are applied to the face. Correct cleaning removes impurities, excess oil, dirt and pollution accumulated during the day, dead cells and makeup.
Cleaning can be done with cleansing gel, cleansing milk or micellar water, adapted to the skin type. It is important to apply a tonic at the end, which helps to remove the traces of impurities, tones the skin, reduces the pore size and prepares the skin to receive the active ingredients.
Cleaning products should be applied twice a day, in the morning and at night, before hydration.
2. Exfoliation
Exfoliation is a very important step because it helps to remove dead cells, unclog pores and promote cell renewal.
For a long time, it was advised to do this step only 2 times a week, so as not to harm the skin. However, there are already softer products with smaller particles, which allow this care to be done every day, without being abrasive to the skin.
In addition to the physical exfoliants, which are those that have microspheres in their composition, there are also chemical exfoliants, with alpha hydroxy acids, such as glycolic acid or lactic acid, which can be applied daily or according to the dermatologist's guidance.
3. Serum
The serum is one of the most important in the skin care routine, because it has the most concentrated active components, compared to creams, and penetrates deeper into the skin, allowing a more effective treatment.
The serum can have a moisturizing, antioxidant, anti-aging or anti-stain action, for example, and should be chosen taking into account the person's concern for their skin.
4. Eye cream
Eye creams serve to moisturize and protect the eye area, as well as prevent aging and prevent the appearance of bags in the eyes and dark circles. These products have a finer texture than face creams, being more easily absorbed by the skin.
The eye cream should be applied morning and night, on the bony area around the eyes, with gentle touches.
5. Moisturizing cream
The day and / or night cream serves to hydrate, nourish and protect the skin against external aggressions, such as pollution. The day cream must have sunscreen or must be followed by the application of a sunscreen.
This product should be applied to the face, neck and neck, avoiding the eye area, after cleaning and applying the serum.
In addition to these precautions, it is important to have a healthy and balanced diet to maintain skin health. See the following video on how to keep your skin healthy:
