The main side effects of Fenofibrate include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, headache, clots that can block a blood vessel, pancreatitis, gallstones, redness and itchy skin, muscle spasms and sexual impotence.
Contraindications for Fenofibrate
Fenofibrate is contraindicated in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, liver failure, acute pancreatitis, chronic kidney disease, gallbladder disease or who have already reacted to the sun or artificial light during treatment with fibrates or ketoprofen. In addition, Fenofibrate is contraindicated in patients with galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
This medicine should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in patients with intolerance to some type of sugar without medical advice.
