Flixonase is a nasal medication that has the active substance Fluticasone.
This is an anti-inflammatory drug, which helps in the treatment of allergic reactions such as rhinitis and sinusitis, easing inflammation and irritation of the nasal mucous membranes.
Generally Flixonase is found in pharmacies in the form of spray, and should be used with discipline according to the medical indication, as the use of the drug does not produce an immediate relief of allergic symptoms.
Indications for Flixonase
Allergic rhinitis; chronic rhinitis; asthma; sinusitis.
Side Effects of Flixonase
Formation of "crusts" in the nasal cavities; Headache; sneezing; nausea; vomiting; burning sensation in the nose; dryness or irritation of the nose (mild and transient); nosebleed; cough; bitter taste sensation in the mouth.
Contraindications for Flixonase
Pregnancy risk C; lactating women.
How to use Flixonase
Nasal use
Adults and children over 12 years of age
- Allergic rhinitis or chronic rhinitis (prevention and treatment): 2 doses of Flixonase in each nostril, once a day, preferably in the morning.
Limit of daily doses: 4 doses in each nostril daily.
