The 1 year old baby is a child with a lot of energy and enthusiasm who learns through curiosity, imitation and exploration of the environment. The more she is stimulated to speak, move and discover, the greater the development of her brain and the coordination of her movements.
The 1-year-old baby is usually capable of:
- Walk sideways, holding furniture and sofa;
- Insert objects into others;
- Stack cubes;
- Understand simple sentences;
- Speak small phrases, like "mama quégua";
- Imitate the sounds of animals;
- Start wanting to eat alone;
- He doesn't like to go to bed to sleep;
- Crawl and walk around the house;
- Bending down to pick up a toy or object without falling;
- Identify body parts and say their names;
- Clapping hands, making gestures to say goodbye, for example;
- Scribble and draw;
- Flip through books or magazines without tearing.
The 1 year old baby understands what they say, but he doesn't always obey and wants everything for himself, crying and throwing a tantrum when he hears no.
It is at this age that the baby learns to speak to the people who speak to him, repeating what he hears, so it is very important for parents to speak the words correctly with the baby.
