First aid in traffic are:
- Sign the accident site, to avoid other accidents;
- Observe how the accident victims are doing;
- Call an ambulance: call 192, police: call 190 and / or the fire department: call 193, if necessary;
- Keep victims calm;
- If the individual is wearing a helmet, do not take it off;
- Do not give liquids to the victim to drink;
- Avoid touching the victims;
- Check if the individual breathes alone or if he is stuck in some place;
- Stay away from the location if there is a danger of fire or explosion,
- Observe if there are points of external bleeding and try to stop it;
- Keep the victim warm while waiting for help.
To facilitate first aid in traffic, individuals can have a kit in the car, which includes:
- 1 pack of sterile compresses, small, large and medium size;
- 1 pack of band-aids;
- 1 pack of sterile dressings, large, medium and small;
- 1 cotton packaging;
- 1 vial of 0.9% saline;
- 4 bandages;
- 1 forceps;
- 1 scissors;
- 1 flashlight;
- 1 pack of disposable gloves;
- Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic medicines, for allergy and ointment for burns and insect bites;
- 1 fire blanket, if possible.
In a traffic accident there can be serious injuries, but first aid can help save the victim's life.
